Welcome to the home of WICKED Women's Ice Hockey.  We are a USA Hockey Women's  team.  For the 2008 - 2009 season we will be competing at the Intermediate level in the United Women's Hockey League (UWHL).  Our home ice is The Steel Ice Center,  located in Bethlehem, PA.  Our team is made up of women of all ages and abilities.

The WICKED D got its start as the Bethlehem Blast Women's team.  The Blast was founded with the opening of the new rink in Bethlehem in December of 2003.  The team proved very successful and grew quite rapidly.  After only two seasons there was such a large number and range in abilities that the decision was made to form an additional team, the Lehigh Valley Wicked.  The name and logo of the Wicked was such a hit with the Blast players that for the 2006 - 2007 season they have decided to take on the name as well. For the 2007-2008 season the WICKED D team has moved to the intermediate level of the UWHL.

The goal of the WICKED  is to provide a fun environment where those just learning the game, as well as those who have been playing for years, can relax, have fun, and share in the wonderful game of ice hockey.

The WICKED provides the women of the Lehigh Valley with the opportunity to play ice hockey regardless of their ability.  The WICKED intermediate team has a more recreational and developmental focus, while the WICKED advanced tournament team is geared towards more experienced, competitive players.

Why the WICKED?  The majority of the founding members of our advanced team were actually New Englanders, here either attending school or working.  As a result, "WICKED" was a common part of our vernacular.  Once it was suggested as a name it was an instant hit, and here we are.
